Jon S. Baird's upcoming Tetris movie – which will chart the real-life legal battle to secure the domestic rights to the Russian puzzler back in the late 1980s – has been rated 'R' in North America (thanks, Movieweb).

The rating is due to 'language', so if you were expecting nudity or violence, you might be disappointed. We can imagine that, given the fraught nature of the negotiations for the game, a few choice words are dropped.

Tetris will launch on Apple TV+ next year, and stars Rocketman lead Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers, the Dutch video game designer and entrepreneur who secured the console rights to the game for Nintendo, leading to it being bundled with the Game Boy. Nikita Yefremov plays Pajitnov, while Roger Allam portrays the infamous tycoon Robert Maxwell.

You can catch a very brief glimpse of Egerton as Rogers in the Apple TV+ trailer below.
