Later today, Mike Yamato and InCube8 Games will be releasing their promising new open-world adventure game called 2021: Moon Escape for the Game Boy (as spotted by @ShiryuGL).
The sci-fi-themed game will be available as either a digital download or as a physical cartridge complete with a sealed box, manual, and stickers sheet. It is primarily centred on top-down exploration, combat, and character progression, putting players in the role of a marooned paladin.
The description of the story on the store page reads:
"Set in a galaxy devastated by an unprecedented war, you will play the role of Tars Nunien, a paladin of the Marked Brotherhood, whose only mission is to return the enemy war plans to the capital planet Astra Nova in the hope of organizing the last desperate defense against the terrible Kisur Barbarians."
The physical copy of the game will cost $59.99, whereas the digital version will set you back $9.99. Both will be available to buy from 2pm PST today. You can watch the trailer below or play/download the demo for free on itch.io, if you're still undecided about picking it up:
