Japanese pharmaceutical company Rohto has just released a new advertisement which uses Capcom's Street Fighter II to promote its Z! brand of eye drops (thanks, EventHubs).
The commercial, which you can see below, shows Ryu and Dhalsim at the dramatic conclusion of a battle, both dizzy and suffering from dry eyes. After applying some drops of Z!, the pair are ecstatic at getting relief from dry, itchy eyeballs – and promptly double-KO in delight.
As a bonus, Luke from Street Fighter V (and the forthcoming sixth entry) can be seen sitting on the wall in the stage's background – a neat nod to the upcoming game.
While this definitely feels random, there's actually a connection between Rohto and Capcom – both companies are based in the Japanese city of Osaka.
