BAFTA – or British Academy of Film and Television Arts, if you prefer – has been running a tournament on its BAFTA Games Twitter account to find the 'Best Ever Duo in Gaming', and the final was between Banjo & Kazooie and Zelda & Link.
Prior to the result being confirmed, Rare co-founder Tim Stamper took to Twitter to proclaim that he would lick a 25-year-old chocolate replica of the BAFTA award (he even roped in former Rare composer Grant Kirkhope, presumably without permission):
Amusingly, Rare's bear and bird duo won the tournament, which means Stamper and Kirkhope are duty-bound to get their tongues on this past-its-best piece of confectionery.
For its part, the BAFTA Games account attempted to distance itself from the proposed licking, perhaps in fear that it could be held responsible for potential illness as a result of the said licking:
Will Stamper go ahead with his threat? Will Kirkhope accompany him? Answers on a postcard...
