Sony has confirmed that one of the best racing games of all time is coming to its PS Plus Premium service next week (thanks, Push Square).
Ridge Racer Type 4 – which we recently voted the best Ridge Racer game of all time – is joining the retro ranks on Sony's subscription service alongside the PSP titles Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Ape Academy 2.
Released in 1998, Ridge Racer Type 4 is the fourth entry in the series for Sony's 32-bit PlayStation console, following Ridge Racer, Ridge Racer Revolution and Rage Racer. It is notable for its slick controls, impressive visuals, incredible soundtrack and the fact that it has a massive 321 cars to obtain.
It follows in the footsteps of Ridge Racer 2, the PSP outing which launched on PS Plus a while back with improved visuals.
