Anbernic's $70 RG ARC Handheld Looks Like A Sega Saturn Pad

Oh dear god YES. I've never been into these sort of all-in-one emulator handhelds but if all takes to sway me on them is to make a handheld out of a SEGA pad then so be it

Ironically, it will be a little underpowered for solid saturn emulation, but this for me is the ideal layout and will be great for MAME and 16 bit systems.

I cannot wait!!

I din't know why, but now I want to buy nintendo new 3ds xl for emulation rather than chinese console, especially one that use android, I just waste my time setting up the machine rather than playing games.

@wiiware Whereas using a 3ds for emulation is simple and straightforward? That's rhetorical, it's not at all, and android is.

I would have jumped at this, but given the chip, it's under-powered for Saturn and Dreamcast. If it could play the entire SEGA home catalogue flawlessly, I'd be on it. Super happy the form factor exists though! Here's hoping for a revision down the line

@Poodlestargenerica It's like, there's too many distraction with android console, rather than playing games, I just use it for browsing internet, watching youtube, fixing the games cover jpg, etc, while on 3ds after I put homebrew on it I can just start playing games.

After searching everywhere, I finally found a brand new, new nintendo 2ds xl on my local mall, already bought it and I'll put luma cfw on it, I'll play my old nintendo games there

@wiiware I won't deny that the distraction thing is completely true, you're basically describing my life, but I still find emulation on 3ds to be too much of a hassle.

@Poodlestargenerica I heard now it's like impossible to brick your 3ds when trying to hack it unless you really try to brick it, so I want to try it since there's a clear written & youtube guide for the hack.

I think the distraction is because there's just too many games, I have many games on analogue pocket but in then end I play chrono trigger rather than new, never played games lol.

@wiiware Yeah like I said, you are correct about the distraction element, I have so many games on my phone it's absolutely absurd. I have two 3ds XL with Custom firmware, It's not a matter of bricking it. Just due to their technical limitations issues arise which do not on other consoles. Incidentally do not use a YouTube Tutorial to install Cfw, just use the written guide.

@Poodlestargenerica I already gave up on phone games, every time I got new phones I always installed bunch of games but in the end I didn't play it, battery life is way more important in phone compared to handheld console.

I have 21 games in my phone that I didn't play, I want to uninstalled it but I want to try playing it at least once 😂

Just installed cfw on my new 2ds xl last night, yeah using the written guide is easier, I never need to play the youtube video guide. I still want (new) physical 3ds cart though for collection though 😃

I wish more companies doing retro devices would include six face buttons. I don't know if the CPU is up to it, but N64 emulation greatly benefits from six face buttons instead of mapping the c-buttons to an analogue stick. 🤢

I feel like most people will just be happier buying a vita than this.
