Been playing the shmups and scrolling shooters more than usual lately. Just survival runs with games I’ve not ever spent much time with. Games like Bio-Hazard Battle / Crying. I’ll start off recommending it if you’ve not given it a go.
There’s a story-driven SHMUP on playdate called Voidblazers that hooked me a few months ago. I’ve since started looking for others, while trying to avoid bullet hells. Thunder Force III also hooked me recently. I bounced off Air Zonk and Super Fantasy Zone, so I’m still trying to figure out what aspects I appreciate in the genre.
I’ll add Bio-hazard Battle to my queue. Since you posted, have you found any that are stellar?
