@andreverts I'm not very far yet. I have been much busier than expected this week, so I haven't had much time to play. I plan on getting some time in tonight after the kids go to bed.

Yeah, I downloaded a copy of the manual and I can tell it's going to be extremely helpful.

@exit @andreverts I was thinking the same thing. I wonder why that game sounds so appealing to a bunch of us right now. Great game though.

Forum badges would be a pretty cool idea. Somewhat like an achievement, where completing certain tasks would result in earning the badge.

@andreverts I finally got to get some time in, and am only in the 2nd area. It is so good though. Just perfectly refined gameplay and a cool world.

@Guitar_bard I reached the 8th one and the game still surprises me: now I understand why it is so acclaimed, the gameplay is incredibly vary for a NES title! Especially dungeons are not only longer as you progress, but there are constantly new traps, different kind of monsters (not just meaning the design, but even skills, combat style and effects) and interactive elements. The difficulty is well balanced too, not brutal but enough challenging.

@andreverts Nice!! I'm going to play some more tonight, if I get a chance. It has been so many years since I last played it (and I never got past the 3rd area) that it is all new to me!

Crystalis beaten tonight!
I expected it to be tougher at the end, but it's doable since I reached the level cap, owned the ultimate accessories/equipments and learnt all the spells; that's a pretty straightforward goal: no grind, secret areas or similar.
The good thing is that allowed me to focus more on the plot twists, wow I didn't expect such development!

@andreverts Right on! Congratulations. I'm in the 3rd area, just because I haven't had a lot of time, but I'm still loving it.

I was thinking of getting the Core Grafx Mini after some Snatcher discussion the other day. Unfortunately Snatcher is in Japanese so buying it for that reason is silly as I don't know japanese

I still want the thing though but I can probably wait until it goes down in price and if I ever get around to playing Snatcher then I'll do the English Mega CD version via emulation

@Ninfan That is a shame, but not surprising. I would imagine most retro forums move a little slower than any dedicated to current gen tech. It's nice to have such an awesome site like this to jump on and discuss.

How's everyone doing?

@exit I agree, this is an awesome site.
Personally doing ok. Been really sick the last few days, but on the bright side I have a small haul of Gameboy games coming in the mail today.

Well, I announced this over at NLife but I thought I'd do the same over here: I'm officially back at school for the year as of two days ago. This is the point where the work kicks into overdrive and I'm hoping (/praying) that it all goes well this year. Guess I'll see you back in a year's time to let you know how it went
