Neill Blomkamp is famous for his sci-fi movies, such as District 9, Elysium, Chappie and Demonic – but his latest project is a live-action adaptation of the popular PlayStation racing series Gran Turismo, based on the real-life exploits of Jann Mardenborough.
The latest trailer for the film looks pretty promising, proving that Blomkamp – who, at one point, was in line to direct an Alien sequel – is capable of turning his hand to things outside the realm of science fiction.

As you can see, the tweet has triggered predictable reactions:
WipEout began life on the PlayStation back in 1995, and has received multiple sequels over the years, including WipEout 2097, WipEout Pure and, most recently, the smartphone title WipEout Merge.
