@ModdedInkling I appreciate most remakes - the one I didn't get was the Duck Tales HD remaster; it felt like it took the spirit out of the original game.
The guy you're replying to appears to be extremely pretentious and rude.
@cmbaum I'd be a hypocrite to say I am as well, as I used them to (finally) beat TMNT (NES version) on the Cowabunga Collection.. For the main part though, I try to avoid them. I'm less against them if I'm using them to legitimately beat a game..
@cmbaum I totally get you on that, while also feeling if possible retro games should be experienced on the original hardware where possible for the authenticity..
Also feel (dare I say it) that having save states/rewind functions can cheapen some of the brutally old games from the past, where the only way to finish them was to 'git gud' (I also acknowledge that having the option to do the above is just that - an option - and giving gamers the choice isn't a bad thing, but I feel that it can take 'something' out the experience..
For me, I enjoy the games I grew up playing - started playing games back in 1989 so NES/Game Boy games don't feel as outdated to me as games on the Atari 50 Collection for example.. I think it might be more a case of what era of games you first started playing which dictates a lot of how you feel towards retro titles...
@Gamecuber I somewhat disagree. Games are limited more by their technology more than movies are - playing a game on the Atari 2600 is a far more primitive and limited experience than (for insance) watching Citizen Kane..

@Poodlestargenerica
"I wouldn't expect someone who is saying the things you say to get it. Though at least your trying".
I mean, if that's not trying to get someone to bite I don't know what is but hey. You keep doing you.

@Poodlestargenerica stop trying to troll other people, just because they don't share your opinion.
Bringing up things like Marvel movies and the like makes you look extremely pretentious.
Give it a rest.
