Although I'm 90% sure the Switch Pro won't be revealed, that everyone is so thoroughly 100% convinced that they won't is kind of annoying.
Just because a company says they're going to do something, that doesn't mean they will. In fact, I think that completely downplaying the possibility of a reveal would be an excellent way of creating a huge amount of hype through surprising everyone who were sure nothing would be said about it.
All they would need to do is show a short clip of it at the very end of their conference and everyone would go nuts about it.
Like I said, I'm mostly taking Nintendo at their word about software only. But at the same time, I won't rule out the possibility that they're lying
If you guys wanna do more of this sort of looking back on the games magazines of yore, you guys should try and nterview Chris Slate (who does the Nintendo Power Podcasts).
Although he was most notably the last lead editor for Nintendo Power, he was also the one behind the equally zany and hilariously cult classic games magazine, "Game Players" / "Ultra Game Players" from I think between 1993 and 1996.
Game Players wasn't quite as well known as Game Pro and the like, but like GameFan, Game Players was extremely irreverent, "edgy" (especially for the time), bizarrely clever, and funny. It would have been like... if Adult Swim had published a printed videogame magazine...but long before Adult Swim was even a thing.
I wonder Slate and the others were fans of GameFans - I can kind of see that being the case.
But yeah, Chris Slate would be an awesome interview anyway, as he had been in the videogames publishing industry for decades and is to this very day employed by Nintendo.
The author of the story clearly wanted me to feel sympathetic towards Pokhilko, but it's not going to happen. I've endured crushing financial hardships in my life, nearly homeless on two separate occasions - but, for some reason or another, I never felt compelled to mercilessly stab and bludgeon my loved ones. What a sick, pathetic excuse for a human.
@Urameshi - Understood. I was only joking. But, seeing as how both of my parents are dead and I live alone, I only know firsthand how poor of taste my joke assumption was. Apologies.
