        Not generally an original hardware purist myself but...yeah, the best way to play DS is always gonna be original hardware.

        TV based systems with no control gimmicks? Fair game IMO. But DS software is just so tailored to that system that I don't see why you'd ever want to emulate it. Maybe for ergonomics? But that can be highly individual.
