Oh the nostalgia! This was my first computer, little brother got the nes and I got this! Rainbow islands had me obsessed, and lure of the temptress, all the dizzy games, pang, bubble bobble…
@GrailUK wasn’t that all part of its charm though? Was it top level tv? Nope, but my god did I feel like somebody somewhere got us gamers when it was still pretty frowned on to be one where I lived. I miss it and all it’s naffness
ETA: I kind of wish I had a spare 5k to buy that top tier… I’m game for a tattoo and gaming session! ✌🏻🤣
Aww I owned and completed all the dizzy games on Amiga 500 they were fantastic. Pretty sure I was able to download them all a few years back on my laptop.
Speaks volumes about him that all these tributes have such similar threads running through them, such different and yet ultimately similar find memories of a much loved friend and colleague. As a 90s teenager I remember so much of what they are talking about, in terms of games, music and culture. I cut my teeth on these magazines and it’s awful to lose such a driving force so young.
