I knew this could potentially be a mixed reaction as the Silent Hill fanbase can be quite divided over opinion (which can be a healthy thing!), but I'm glad to see some positive and/or fair judgments about it.
For me personally this game unlocked the concept of Silent Hill, if you change the "i" to an "e", you have a Silent Hell. And being trapped in one's own mental horror can be the most terrifying thing of all. See, I'm cheery like that.
Thanks for the feedback guys, it's nice to know people got such a kick out of the first game, and that some still love the control scheme! Thanks for reading.
But those are insane prices (and as I understand it, high gaming prices are the norm in Australia). I'm guessing it's because of the PAL compatibility that they know they can charge that.
Good for holding onto it. I didn't get it on launch, but got mine before things went to ridiculous, so it ended up being the same price as on launch.
Hey everyone. Thanks for the kind comments and feedback on the article, and for different opinions on the game. I seriously appreciate it. The different takes on Twin Snakes are interesting, if anything I see more debates on it than any other Metal Gear.
Also, as a guide the rough price of it today is usually around £50/$70 but some of the mint ones are even more expensive!
@Lord Unfortunately these things can happen. There are still differing reports as to why it didn't make it, so I didn't want to pin an answer down in the article unless someone stated their version of events.
@Retroking1981 Well, you never know these days. And as a few have speculated on the release of the NX next year, who knows how relationships with different publishers will turn out later on. And in a gaming year that has seen it's fair share of surprises, who knows what the future will bring!
@Wuneye Thank you. It was a pleasure to write it, but Damien did all the posting and organising! I'm with you, I'd be happy just to see a digital release. I think quite a few GameCube games could do with another chance to shine as several didn't get the exposure they deserved back in the day.

Re: Feature: The Making Of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter
@Shiryu Thanks man. Yeah, the N64 did have a slew of good FPSs.
@Thegentleman I'd say give it a go, as it's an interesting slice of Ninty history!
