@Damo Totally fair perspective (it really isn't to everyone's taste as I mentioned and my use of "harsh" might have been out of place).
As much as I clearly love the game, Gain Ground has been included in myriad Mega Drive collections and as a Sega Ages title on Switch, so I wouldn't have been upset if there was another game in its stead here.
I'm also not a fan of Sewer Shark Thanks for the terrific review and the site in general. I absolutely love everything TE has put together so far! <3
I agree with Hikingguy; good review, but I also felt the reviewer was too harsh on Gain Ground. While not everyone's taste, the game's appeal lies in the almost puzzle-like nature of each level and how best to clear them while rescuing your comrades. It's methodical in a fun way, and isn't in the same category as a Mercs style game.
Otherwise, I appreciate the review mentioning the games that had some QoL updates and small fixes (Phantasy Star II, Thunder Force IV, OutRun, and to my utter delight, Truxton having fixed music speed. It's always nice to count on M2 to really nerd out and do these things for fans.
I'm really looking forward to receiving my Genesis 2 Mini next week!

Re: This Dedicated Fan Has Fixed A Much-Maligned 'Fist Of The North Star' Video Game
I'm a little confused; is this patch for Last Battle or Hokuto no Ken? Or does it matter which one?

@Browny I feel the same way. I think the EO soundtracks are among his finest works <3

Happy to wait for all the QoL improvements they mentioned. Sounds very much like the M2 ShotTriggers series features, which I am all for.
Re: Feature: Memories Of The PC Engine, From The People Who Made It Sing
Thank you for this supplement to your first two books. Looking forward to the third!
