My backlog of purchased games is too big for me to have time to download more. I have a curated collection of retro games that I strongly desire to play, so that's the reason I don't download ROM's. I like that collection of retro titles are getting released on Switch.
My stance on ethical emulation is this: I think it's fine to download titles that are in no way available to buy and support the IP holder. I'm not a fan of people who emulate games that are available for purchase at a reasonable price, or current general systems.
