@NinChocolate My 5 year old gets to have Xbox time some nights, and the amount of times he chooses to play Galaga over the plethora of more modern games I have on there really says something about how much of a timeless classic Galaga really is.
I really loved this game. It was by no means perfect, and the junction system was kind of jarring at first, but all in all a fun game with great characters and a good storyline. Unfortunately for VIII though, it had the daunting task of having to follow FF VI and FFVII.
This game is simply astounding. It is a struggle to think of any games in the 26 years following its release that have reached the same level of magnificence.
At three years old, this was the first video game I ever played, and I still perfectly recall the experience. I remember exactly where I was when I first played it and remember thinking the Goombas were lions.
