@AJB83 There is a package out there called Ultima Underworld Portable, it's for both UW1 and UW2. It takes the GOG version and pairs it with a newer release of DosBox, installs the mouselook patch, installs the midi patch, fixes the mouse issues, fixes the display issues, basically gives you the best version of the games without having to do the fiddling yourself.

@AJB83 The DOS version isn't so bad once you get the hang of it. It was just written a long time before the modern conventions, so it was pioneering them at the time. There is also a fan-made mouse-look/WASD patch for both UW1 and UW2, you can try those out if you're having trouble with the classic controls.
Hello, I myself am a huge fan of Ultima Underworld, I've played through the PC version countless times. About a year ago I found this English patch for the PS1 versoin which I'd never played much into before. I played all the way through it and am keeping my notes here: https://wiki.ultimacodex.com/wiki/Technical_Differences_in_Ultima_Underworld_on_the_PSX It's a technical analysis for people familar with the game, If someone reading this is new to the game and doesn't want any spoilers then I wouldn't recommend it.
