This seems consistent with other user"s experience with Etsy support. My wife who was a long time seller of original art (drawings and sculptures) was banned for "suspicious activity". We discerned it was due to our VPN, but we could not for the life of us get through their automated support system.
Point being, with their growth over the years, they take a broad brush approach to security now and are no longer capable of effectively supporting the original "handmade" creators which used to be the backbone of the site. I've abstained from investing time selling my own art and blacksmithing work there for these reasons.
There are a lot of great original creators there still amid the many many very obviously mass produced facsimile creators, but until they can find their way back to supporting artists and original makers of stuff (and by support I mean human customer support, not bot support) they're going to continue down this path of turning into AliExpress/Temu.
