The problem here is that there is NO romance here. And for most of the encounters in other games, this doesn’t change. Sex and lust being considered romance in games is the problem. “Romance” has a very shallow goal in many games.
In the Witcher, they’re still the same objects of lust for the most part, just a little bit more dressed up.
If you really want to solve the problem of objectification, then start having romance without sex. It will force actual romance and thought because it forces you to focus on the person.
