Sony stopped reporting the PS2 sales numbers after a certain point. That’s why there’s an asterisk after the number on Wikipedia. 160 million (or close to it) is very possible.
Nintendo could cut the Switch price after releasing its successor to make it the budget, entry-level option. That’d give Switch a shot at making 150mil+ numbers.
Count me in as another player who prefers X over GX. GX looks better, of course. But I favor X for its precise (and brutal) side attacks, its high-but-not-aggravating degree of challenge, and its rock soundtrack.
RIP, and please note that the SELECT and START buttons are not part of the Konami code. They are mechanisms for operating the menu after you have completely entered the Konami code.

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo Is In Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves, For Some Reason
Hope he uses a soccer ball for most of his attacks. That at least would be entertaining.
Re: Random: Someone Modded Tim Walz Into Crazy Taxi
So is Crazy Taxi brat?
Re: Platinum Games Almost Tackled Marvel's Black Widow After Bayonetta
MSheU fans are seething
Seriously though, a Black Widow game from Platinum sounds amazing.
Re: Did The Stampers Really Think Miyamoto Copied Sabre Wulf With Zelda?
To me this just reads like British humor. I wouldn’t take it too seriously.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Jo's New Look In Perfect Dark?
Look, all I’m saying is that, if I had her chin, I could lose the beard.
Re: Former Nintendo World Champ Jeff Hansen On Teaming Up With Nintendo Again, 30 Years Later
Class act. Glad Nintendo brought him back for this.
Re: Workshop Of Retro Modder And Engineer Voultar Has Been "Ransacked"
Nintendo ninjas strike again.
Re: Protect Me Knight And Royal Anapoko Academy Dev Is Working On A Mega Drive / Genesis JRPG
“Plump-Bellied Succubus” would be a great name for a rock band.
Re: Please Don't Ask Who's In The Sonic Costume In This Rare Rosie O'Donnell Clip
Real quiet, real nice

Sonic fans at it again.

The King of Kong sequel is going to be fascinating if it ever happens.
Re: Teen Who "Beat" Tetris Told To "Go Outside And Get Some Fresh Air"
I love the story behind the achievement and I commend Schuti for his accomplishments.
But if he were my kid, he wouldn’t be allowed to play 3-5 hours of Tetris a day.
Re: 34 Years After Release, A 13-Year-Old Has Just "Beaten" NES Tetris
Let's not forget the humble NES controller that was somehow built well enough to enable (and withstand) these crazy finger techniques.
(Yes, I'm sure these guys replace controllers more frequently than others do.)
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite Game Of Christmas 2013?
PS4 sales have reached 117 million, not 177 million. 177m would make it the best-selling console of all time.
Re: Alexey Pajitnov And Henk Rogers Talk Tetris With Roger Dean, The Man Behind The Iconic Logo
That logo is iconic.
I enjoyed the Tetris movie but yeah, it was clearly embellished for entertainment purposes. Still a decent introduction to the whole saga, I think.
Re: "I Didn't Want Mario Lemieux Hockey, I Wanted Super Mario Hockey"
Mario Lemieux‘ nickname was itself a reference to the Nintendo character so, yeah, legally this was a Darwin Award in the offing.

Great interview! I like his ideas about pushing even more in the Thunderbirds direction.

"The most solid proof that start is not part of the code is that you can add on extra button-presses after 'A' but not anywhere else in the code."
