This was such an awesome memory. I went to EB Games in the mall on 9/9/99 and spent my own money on a console, something I had never done before. I went home, hooked it up to my new tv using an s-video cable, and was in awe of the graphics and gameplay of Soul Calibur. This was the first time I had seen arcade quality visuals in my own house. It was just so cool.
This is one of my favorite games of all time. It is pure fun, presentation, and has one of the best soundtracks ever, which I still listen to to this day.
My Dremacast definitely has a special place in my heart. I think that's because it's the first console that I bought with my own money at launch. Really glad I still have it and still play to this day.
I love the arcade revival that is going on. I have dreamed of owning arcade cabinets for so long and companies like Arcade1up are making it realistic to have your own little arcade. They are not perfect, but still a lot of fun.

Re: Time Crisis Is Arcade1Up's Next Release
The screen is just too small, especially at that price.
Re: Talking Point: What Was Your First Video Gaming Experience?
I was born in 79 and my first gaming experience was playing NES at my friend's house in about 86. I got my own NES a couple of years later.
Re: Japan Is Losing Another Legendary Arcade This Month
This kind of thing is really sad to see. I dream of going to Japan someday and I hope there are still many arcades left to visit.
Re: Poll: What's The Best Street Fighter?
I voted 3rd Strike, but Alpha 2 is a close 2nd for me. I was glad to see it get a good percentage of the votes.
Re: Playdate Pre-Order Date Is Confirmed, Shipping Late This Year
I'm really interested in this, but balking at the price, especially when you don't even know what games and how many will be released down the line.
