I think they're different enough that it's fine. I'm sure it stung to have Nintendo make a game that looked similar but I have played my fair share of both, so I don't feel like it was Nintendo "poaching" Tetris from Henk. They obviously continued working together and even released Tetris and Dr. Mario together on the SNES.
@Sketcz I'm with you but for different reasons. My main complaint is this. It just wasn't Goldeneye. It was Call of Duty wearing Goldeneye's face as a mask.
Cover based combat? Check. Two Weapon Loadouts? Check. Waypoint markers in the distance that tell you where to go? Check.
Even the multiplayer was just Call of Duty. Remember being able to set the weapons to things like only Lasers, Golden Guns, or even just slappers only (license to kill). Nope, this time, it's loadouts you pick ahead of time. And forget having multiple weapons, you just get the two you start with.
I'm not saying that this can't be a fun type of game but don't promise me Goldeneye and give me Call of Duty.
