Would love to see this pulled off AND for them to keep that ending. Phantasy Star 2 had you play as "ecoterrorists" and killed a beloved member of your party 8 years before Final Fantasy VII.
It's one thing that this trend of everyone having an "Originals" line is obnoxiously unoriginal, but what exactly is Ubisoft telling us with this? By default, aren't all their games... theirs, originally?
@SoulChimera SERIOUSLY. Unless they're working on a new one (in which case trailer reveal please?), I simply do not understand how they're sleeping on this. PSVR2 has ONE excellent racing game in a genre that is a big VR seller... and that's it. Plus, Wipeout lends itself perfectly to VR and specifically to PSVR2's strengths. Sony is sleeping on this IP so hard it feels like they're taking business advice from Sega.
I've always felt a frustration with Sega towards this game. The original Shinobi and the arcade version of Shadow Dancer are my favorite Shinobis - and Shadow Dancer is one of my fave arcade games of all time. The visuals, music and gameplay are all so tight and hold up to this day. The fact that Sega could have done decent ports on Genesis and never did (despite going for it on SMS!) was such a missed opportunity. The Shadow Dancer we DID get at home was a solid game in its own right, but you can feel the small cartridge size's squeeze on both the audio and visuals compared to something like, say, Shinobi 3 or even the earlier Revenge of Shinobi.
