The problem for me with the Super Pockets is that there are some great 2 player games locked away in a form factor that will not make the most of them.
No overlaps so far makes me think that we won't be seeing anything on the super pocket then on a cart (although they could get around this with non-arcade versions of these games) but I would have liked games like Mutation Nation and Senkoku 3 (actually most of the list) on carts but it doesn't seem like it will happen.
I certainly do not need more reasons to buy a Playdate but the price, which they are putting up, is just unreasonable for what it is which means it's always going to be a non starter.
Even if they halved the price, it would still be a stretch.
This is the exactly Polymega problem. They keep announcing and releasing different bits and pieces when you can't even buy a Polymega. Lots of things that have been announced that sound great but where are they? How do you buy them? Where is the app that seems to negate the need for their own hardware?

If this had a rotatable screen for Tate mode, like the Taito Erget II Mini, then I may well have went for this.
