I was always going to pick up the 5, but that combo deal might just be enough to reel me into geting both!.. between these two and the new Zelda-themed Switch Lite, my piggy bank is taking a beating this month!!
@Pillowpants Yes - agreed, Ask Iwata is definitely my favourite of the two and does well to embody the man himself! But if I'm to biasedly choose a business leadership book - I'm going with Big Reg!
@MontyCircus It is to a degree, but interesting nevertheless if you ask me. I always liked when Reggie showed face whilst at Nintendo, so I went into it pretty forgivingly.
@Deuteros thanks for the heads-up! If nothing else, they should be great for occasional "gosh, remember that!" moments, as well as helping to entice the sprogs to get into gaming themselves when they're a little older. If you haven't already picked them up - and you're particularly fond of Nintendo - 'Ask Iwata' and 'Disrupting the Game' are great reads.
I've got my copy out for delivery out at the moment. I've also got Volumes 1 and 2 of 'The Ultimate History of Video Games' arriving on Wednesday, so plenty of reading (not so much gaming) over the rest of the year between the three of them!
Nothing will top the FireRed/LeafGreen era on the GBA SP for me.. but I have a lot of love for the DS and the PSP too, both were equally amazing for different reasons.
I worked in Game during the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One.. the condition of some of the games/consoles would knock me sick; I vividly remember opening a Modern Warfare 3 case and getting a hefty whiff of vomit.. on another, nice note, I saved a fella from getting bumped by Game's shocking trade-in offers; we offered £5 for a PSP in immaculate condition. I told him to just keep hold of it and save it for the future!
