Very true about recent consoles. There's more small parts, and less human involvement getting them together. I mean even the Switch has seen its fair share of problems and it's only 2 years old. Back plates cracking/chipping, joy-cons drifting, joy-cons getting loose on the rails of the Switch itself. It does make you wonder how things are going to be 5-10 years from now, especially for original Switch models that have had these issues.
A good read. Sad overall, but nothing lasts forever unfortunately.
