@KillerBOB so they all allow you to take your original games and dump them? At best the ones with a disc drive may allow you to do that and even then we're only talking disc based games which completely ignores the element modules.
The Saturn emulation looks better then anything I've ever seen before on any of those platforms.
@Heavyarms55 I don't think this is in any way aimed at the casual gamer. That is not a casual price and your average casual gamer doesn't have a horde of retro games sitting there waiting to be played.
Its targeted to console enthusiasts who want a convenient all in one option and the possibility to connect up to modern display.
Don't see the issue with the price when you look at the systems it emulates, the quality it appears to do it with, the fact it offer an easy connection to modern televisions and the future expansion possibilities.
If there are still going to release FPGA versions of the add ons as well I think I'm definitely in
If this was available in the UK without hefty delivery charges and import tax I'd be all over it. I have no idea why they haven't worked out a European distributor for these systems.
If they had one I'd certainly have purchased the Super NT and the Mega NT by now. I'm waiting to spend money on them but I wont pay over the odds.
@Yorumi of course it could just be that he's a mouthpiece for the company and doesn't really delve into the programming aspect of things. Nothing he said is fundamentally wrong but I agree its a bit cloudy.
I'll be honest I really want this to be the real deal and I'm very much considering just getting the disc unit for now, specifically for Saturn and Mega CD and perhaps a few Playstation games I never got around to playing.
My concern is the lack of fpga tech in the initial modules, I dont get why they are going to do 2 versions. I'll certainly be waiting for reviews before I stump up the cash. The Saturn footage issue really seems a bit strange to me, why did they even have arcade version footage in the first place? I'm a little sceptical at this point in time if i'm honest.
The lack of a pixel perfect option when connected to a television is really disappointing. Otherwise i'd be all in, I might wait and see what the quality looks like for myself before dipping in.
Like everyone else, Konami, Capcom and Sega were the companies that came to mind. If this was a particularly historical claim then Sega would probably make the most sense, the irony of them developing the Yakuza titles though is a bit of a blatant smack in the face.

Re: We're Getting A New Shining Force Game, But Of Course There's A Catch
Looks surprisingly decent, I could this making its way to Switch, at which point I will possibly pick it up
Re: Site News: We've Got A Polymega, Ask Us Anything
A very specific Saturn emulation question which you can only answer if you have the games available:
How do Shining Force 3 Parts 1-3 play and do the patched translations of scenarios 2 and 3 work?

Re: Hardware Review: The Sega Saturn Bluetooth Pad Doesn't Live Up To Its Inspiration
It is a Saturn controller and looks exactly like the mark 2 us/eu version

Re: Modular Console RetroBlox Could Be The Ultimate Old-School Gaming Platform
Sounds right up my street, it would be amazing if it was possible, but sounds a bit too good to be true
Re: How Star Wars Helped Nintendo Defeat One Of Sega's Most Ludicrous Patents
I seem to recall Sega once trying to say they had the patent on 3d cameras in games, never hear of that anymore
Re: Hardware Review: Cyber Gadget Retro Freak
Hmm, this or the retron5, I'd made the decision to get the retron after christmas, I'm not sure now.
