@bring_on_branstons No problem, branstons! Always happy to chat! All of the art is hand animated frame by frame, yes! Like I said, the catfish scene took a little over twenty hours of work! Most of that was for the art an animation, hahah! ^^;
It's a slow and laborious process, but it's really fun and fulfilling. Thanks for your question! =)
@somnambulance Thanks s much, somnambulance! I'll be doing PC and all major consoles at launch, yeah!
I'll also be doing a post KS merch store, yes, though the KS merchandise will have KS-exclusive "thanks for supporting Maple Forest" labels and stuff on them.
@sdelfin Thanks so much, sdelfin! I'm actually thinking about experimenting with color after the KS is over... there are some things I want to add to the game that would really benefit from it.
Thank you for your kind words, even though you're not usually into monochrome stuff! I appreciate it!
One of the best games ever made. I'm glad to see it still getting love. I'm looking forward to playing through the entire Soul Blazer trilogy in Japanese soon, actually!
@bring_on_branstons Thanks, branstons! I'm trying my best! The giant catfish scene here took about twenty hours of work between the drawing, animation, sound, and code, hahah! ^^;
I'm trying to make something really special, so I'm taking my time. Thanks for your kind words!
@Poodlestargenerica Thanks so much, generica! It's not a souls like at all, actually! It'll be about as hard as Zelda 1. Challenging, but not punishing feeling. There'll be an easier difficulty mode available, too! The game is inspired by the Soul Blazer trilogy and Secret of Mana as much as it is Zelda, too. Expect a much more RPG/story based experience than most Zelda games!
I'm trying my best! I think it'll be something really special! ^^
