I always looked down my nose at game informer, thinking it was a pretty poor alternative to Nintendo Power or PCGamer and some of the other magazines of the era. It’s a bit strange to feel sad that it’s gone, as in the 90’s I didn’t respect it at all, yet I do. Print publications are so cool and gaming magazines are something I miss, even Game Informer. The fact they were one of the largest circulation remaining magazines is surprising, and pretty dire for the print industry.
I loved my Xperia Play. I had one and it was able to emulate really, really well. I played a lot of JRPGs and even got through link to the past and super metroid on it. I didn't enjoy doing 3d on it even though it was capable of playstation games.
