1. The hardware looks neat, like a proper IntelliVision successor. Is that controller good?
2. The trailer shows only games that are not available on Switch. Keep the exclusives coming! I love that it's not just a reel of ports that you can play elsewhere.
3. Many of the games look like fun remakes of the Atari / Intellivision age. Retro fans will definately find something here - but the console's missing a proper revolutionary turning-heads must-have title. Why wasn't the new Amico-exclusive Earthworm Jim game shown in the trailer?
I remember the ad and the hype. That dragon logo is so iconic. A friend already had the Amiga version of MKII but that didn't hook me. It was the SNES version of MK1 that I borrowed from a friend, where the graphics ran fluid and the controls were good. It ran on my brandnew SNES, my first Nintendo console, and all my friends liked to play it. I was a big fan back then, even getting Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the SNES and then Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the N64.
But it was with fighting games like SoulEdge (1997, PS1) and then Super Smash Bros. (1999, N64) that I completely lost my interest in the MK franchise. It simply wasn't up to notch anymore and when I turned 18 years, M-rated 18+ games suddenly stopped being desirable.
If there was MK Ultimate for Switch with all characters, stages, and music, I might buy it to relive some nostalgia. I have a few friends with a Switch that are still total hype everytime MK is mentioned.
I still have Twin Snakes in mint condition, played through only once. Not a game I'd replay, but as a collector of great first/second party Nintendo games this valuable item makes me proud, sitting there between other rarities like Path of Radiance and Thousand Year Door. ^^
Dinosaur Planet was one of my most wanted games back on N64. Couldn't wait to pick up Starfox Adventures when it finally came out in Q3 2002. I knew it was going to be Zelda-like and not an Arwing shooter. Definately has some of the best graphics on the Gamecube. That atmosphere, particularly at the beach, was great. But it has some of the best music as well. It's full of great music, but I really love 4 or 5 tunes.
I liked the way the Starfox was included. Had no problem with the new stuff. Didn't feel strongly tacked-on, was just Fox landing on a new planet, exploring it on foot. And I liked Tricky. And the fantastic item select menu. Why did no one steal this idea (besides the Jet Force Gemini team)?
I hope Nyamyam brings Tengami to Wii U! Getting back a piece of Rare!

Re: Drugs, Military Coups And Reshoots: The Amazing Story Of Street Fighter: The Movie
At least you can have fun with the Street Fighter and Super Mario Bros. movie.
On the other hand, the Tekken and Dragon Ball movies were boring and painful.
