The biggest problem I had with The Spirits Within is that it had absolutely no resemblance to an actual Final Fantasy game. I simply do not understand how Square could not follow the template established by the cutscenes from FF VII, VIII and IX. The Spirits Within was utterly boring and bland - literally lacking in color and yes, fantasy.
