Got it as a gift a couple months after the US release. Was so insanely hyped for it (I didn’t get games real frequently in that era, as a kid, special occasions only). It exceeded my expectations and I spent all Summer playing it through to completion. My favorite Mario game to date and definitely one of the best NES games ever, and really one of the best games on any system. A true gaming must-play. It still holds up today.
I have many of those listed, and the PC Engine Mini and The Genesis Minis are my favorites. All are a blast though, and I also really enjoy the Neo Geo ASP.
One of my favorite consoles these days, but never had one during its era. I have emulated many of the games and bought the Coregrafx Mini, which has given me a way to play these games and enjoy them. Maybe the most underrated home console ever. I love the graphics and sounds on the PC Engine library.
Having not experienced it in my youth, I absolutely love the PC Engine/Turbografx-16 as an adult. So many great games and ports. Really a gem of a system.

I have the Saturn version, which is really good. I’m definitely excited about Gear. Hopefully there will be a console version.

I still have a copy for GameCube. Definitely a fun arcade game and I still like to play it every now and then.

Will be playing some Castlevania this weekend to celebrate Halloween. Will probably also fire up a Dreamcast game or two.

@Carck “one of you guys”? Does Geoff need defending?

Good to know Geoff was a tool back then as well.
Re: Hyperkin's RetronGX Plays PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 Games
If it takes flash carts, I’m in. Otherwise I’m waiting anxiously on the Analogue Duo.

Re: Poll: How Do You Play Your Retro Games?
A mixture of original hardware, emulation and modern ports on modern systems for me.
Re: 24 Years Later, The Dreamcast VMU Is Getting A Much-Needed Upgrade
Will most likely pick one up. The factory models have insanely small storage.
