I'm all for preservation, so don't take this as me hating at all but people act like digital media is an absolute sin. Have you people ever heard of GoG (Good ole Games)? Also so many people act like putting a game on a disc means it's yours forever. It is if you take care of and store that disc properly. ALL physical media has a set life span. Discs will rot and drives will go bad over time, it happens. Before you argue "you can transfer it to another disc", that's exactly what you could do with gog games. Digital can definitely coexist with physical if most people would properly educate themselves even a little before complaining. If a studio wants to make a game that requires a server to handle the game and it can't be played offline, then it should be properly advertised as such. We should not be trying to get rid of a particular kind of games because some people are upset they don't know how to read the TOS or EULA before playing a game. If you don't like what the EULA etc says, refund the game and don't play it. Workaround would be making that info easier to see. Preservation is pretty good for the most part. Just gotta quit going after absolutely everyone like some kind of fascist movement and understand that people have the right to make their games however they want and you have the right to spend your money as you please
