This was unexpectedly one of the most enjoyable articles I've read on Time Extension. Thank you for that wonderful account of two people's quirky friendship (of sorts).
I honestly can't believe the majority of the comments here are pro-p*rn modding.
It could hurt their sales, but I'm sure they already considered this and still chose to go this path. Who are we to diss their principles and call them puritans?
Other than the unnecessary changes made to Olrox and Annette, this series has been a great next step in the Castlevania series. Glad Juste still has a role to play. Looking forward to this.
It all depends on how you view the place of AI art in this day and age. Some say it'll steal job opportunities from artists. I say it actually emphasizes the need to hire artists, considering the limitations of AI art.
I see AI as a boon, as it's helped me out a lot, definitely in my job but especially as a dad of two preschoolers. I can always just feed story ideas to it and let it cover the gaps in my ideas. Include a quick faux book cover image generation request and the kids already have a great bedtime story that night. It's even serialized and stars them as the main characters. Saves me a lot on storybooks.
As a regular user of AI at work, I can say that it has its uses, but it definitely stifles creativity and generates cookie-cutter work when abused, the exact things that will ring the death knell for games if it prevails.
But... this is modern-day EA we're talking about. Should we even be surprised at this point?
It does no better with movie details, adding in scenes that never happened. It claimed Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade had a tank chase in the middle of a crowded city and another scene involving Indy riding a horse and carriage inside the grail temple!
It's useful for other things, but it clearly needs a lot more work.
From making the GBA Super Mario World colorfully vibrant again to simply giving SMB3 Mario gloves, the site has helped my retro gaming a lot. Every era must eventually end, I guess.
