I consider myself a long-time Samurai Shodown fan, but I didn't even know about the existence of this RPG until now.

So many good fan translations nowadays. I really should get myself a good emulation device.

I'm one of the probable few out there who could never fully grasp the six-button fighting game layout, probably since my fighting games of choice back then were the KOFs and Dreamcast fighters (MVC2, Project Justice, and the like).

Still, this seems like a solid unit, though I may be more compatible with their other models.

I enjoyed the NES release a lot and was pretty excited to hear about a movie adaptation starring Dwayne Johnson, but I had no idea this game even existed.

Seems like an okay game. Too bad about the movie though.

Would've been nice if the rings were not cards but maybe made of gold-colored plastic, but other than that quibble this seems interesting.

Hmm, I don't seem to recall ever hearing this one. I guess it's not as iconic as the Sega chant when you boot up their games back in the day.

How come there's no mention of Alucard's appearance in Castlevania Legends for the Game Boy? I'm aware a lot of Castlevania games were axed from the official timeline, but I think that was still a notable appearance.

I always thought it was just easier to match up the mushroom than the star, which I rarely matched up.

Nokia has always been the Nintendo of the mobile phone industry, always willing to try out new things. It's part of the reason why I supported their beginning forays in the Android phone business. The one I got (forgot its model) was like a smartphone version of the 3310, totally sturdy and extremely hard to physically break.

I'm torn with this one. I've always liked the Metal Slug aesthetic since the first game and the 3D here looks decent enough, but the mixing of 2D-3D doesn't seem to blend that well, at least the way I see it.

Maybe the final product will be different though, so I reserve my judgment until then.

I've been planning to get myself an Android tablet to replace my dead Surface 3. This seems like a worthy keyboard for that endeavor. I have great trust on 8bitdo's product quality, with my SF30 Pro gamepad lasting through much abuse without losing functionality.

Tempting, but the physical aesthetics could be better.

Also, my mobile phone paired with my 8bitdo gamepad already works well to emulate the great ones of old, so maybe I'll stick with that.
