Yeah, I don't buy the whining. I just beat Metroid Zero Mission playing it on handheld mode without issue. In fact, my experience with the Switch Online and especially the GBA ports have been solid.
But if anyone is playing these emulations on docked mode, then let me ask: did anyone turn on game mode on your TV? Because if not, you're pretty much asking for lag. Even a modern Switch game like Sonic Mania would be awkward to play without that TV adjustment. It's either that or invest on a CRT.
