It would have been a stretch to say Fight for Life was a complete rip off of Virtua Fighter because 3D fighters were very common then to show off 32-bit consoles power. Sega probably wouldn't have won even if they did file a suit unless they could claim they owned 3D camera angles which as mentioned in the article Yves had worked on at AM2. And as mentioned above the version that was released wasn't even the most current build which played better if you happened to play the Fight for Life Beta build that was released on Cartridge on the late Jaguar Sector II forums over 2 decades ago. Still a pretty bad game though but it had potential.
