I remember an interview where Lynch was asked about his black and white PS2 commercial, and he didn't even know that it was broadcast in black and white. He shot it in color, and then Sony changed it to make it more "Lynchian". He wasn't very happy about it.
For some reason, the Spanish press loved the game at the time. Gushed over it. It was weird to read the British reviews and the Spanish ones, as in "are they talking about the same game?".
The voice of Sonic in the movies, Ben Schwartz, mentioned that he practically begged for the SEGA logo with the classic music to appear right at the start, but no one cared. I don't know if that was a Paramount decision or a SEGA decision but it was kind of a dumb decision.
If this kinda helps to remind Sega that they actually released more consoles than the Megadrive, fine, yeah. Also, I'm sure that I'll see a Dreamcast 2 before a meagre Master System collection of sorts.
Hate to be that "Well, actually" guy, but well, actually we don't really know if he loves it, do we? He can't wait to buy it, sure, but perhaps after doing so he loved it, or perhaps he was crushingly disappointed that for a second Donkey Kong game in a row he couldn't play with Donkey Kong.

Re: Anniversary: 30 Years Ago, Sega Hijacked Groundhog Day To Mark Sonic 3's Release
@sdelfin Yep, February was a weird month back then to release a blockbuster game like this.

Bet he loved it, though.
