@Hydra_Spectre any time it happens it is in violation of the Blu ray standard, whether by accident or not. Sony, who created the standard mentions on their help page about region locking Blu rays that Ultra HD Blu rays are region-free. https://www.sony-asia.com/electronics/support/articles/00029369 There are some instances to the contrary, as the players are still region encoded, and Blu ray as a whole is region encoded, but it is never supposed to happen. It is interesting whenever it does though. Hopefully this won't be an accident as such.
I have their previous Blu-ray release of this movie. It works in all of my region A players despite being listed as region B only. Also, there is no region encoding for 4k discs. Looking forward to this release, hoping it's not limited.
