@Guru_Larry Whoops didn't see this! That's a good idea — I scanned up down side to side and wasn't catching any light on either of the two swords I have (I can see the IR light on the console just fine though). Honestly a little confused on where exactly it's supposed to be emitting from? Weird that I can only kinda get it to do something if I hold the sword out in a very specific spot and then fan my hand over the receiver. Anyway, I appreciate the help!
@Guru_Larry Yep tried it with fresh batteries as well as the AC adapter, even opened it up, inspected it, and reflowed some solder joints. I guess there's a chance that I happened to buy 2 defective ones, but I don't know — really odd.
@Guru_Larry Thanks for getting back to me! Ahh I tried every available room/TV, still nothing. I've turned on/off lights, covered/removed reflective surfaces, shifted around the location of the device, swapped swords, and even flung the sword in every inch of the room including behind the device — so weird! The only thing that's worked just a little bit is holding the sword in just the right spot and moving my hand over the IR sensor and even that only kinda does something. I can't figure out what the issue is!
@Guru_Larry Hey just wondering if you had to do anything special to get it to work properly? I bought two of these and can't get the swords to register no matter where I'm positioned — really weird.
