When I saw the article headline I thought it was saying that Sega was reprinting the 3D Archive trilogy and got really excited until I figured out that "Reprint" is just part of the translated series title. Wish I had picked them up while I still had the chance.
This is cool for people who only have a Gamecube I guess but it's so much easier to homebrew a Wii to allow backups since it can be done entirely in software, plus you get extra benefits like being able to force GC games to run overclocked to the Wii's native CPU/GPU speeds which eliminates slowdown in a bunch of games, plus you have the entire Wii library available as well, seems like you'd be better off just picking up a second hand Wii instead.
Forgotten Sands for Wii is fantastic! Dare I say it's even the best game in the series? The prince's platforming abilities were taken to a new level with the introduction of powers that took advantage of IR to interact with the environment, and they work beautifully. I believe it's also still the only 3D PoP game to run at 60 fps on a console! And its visuals still hold up perfectly because of it.

I'm pretty sure the DxC release for PSP came out in the west prior to the Virtual Console release, contrary to what the article states.
