@Damo I had the same issue with a raspberry pi branded power adaptor, The Spectrum simply refused to power on with it, however another adaptor worked just fine.
Does anybody know why some devices are fussy like this? Surely if they're all using USB then it should just work?
I believe the massive instruction manual mentioned in the review is for reviewers only. My retail version had the crash magazine but only a manual consisting of a few pages.
I hear the massive manual can be downloaded from retrogames, and if it's anything like TheC64 they might even publish it for purchase eventually.
I have TheC64 Maxxi, which is a fantastic recreation of the original, so I'm hoping RetroGames have done an equally excellent job this time around. My PreOrder should arrive tomorrow so I guess I'll find out soon. Part of me just wishes they'd reproduced the much better ZX Spectrum+
@Grackler @LowDefAl I really think they're missing a trick here, a lot of people would probably quite like to have another go at coding on one of these. I certainly would.
The real legacy of the Spectrum is the number of people who first started programming on it, do any of these new creations include the spectrum os and spectrum basic?

Re: Here's A Better Look At The Promising "All-In-One" MiSTer FPGA Console, Multisystem 2
I think it looks alright. It's certainly no worse than a Asus or Netgear gaming router.
Re: Review: Atari 7800+ - A Welcome Yet Rather Redundant Tribute For The Console That Lost To The NES
@slider1983 I guess it depends on your point of view, but when I look at what's on offer from Evercade these cartridges seem overpriced.
Still, if people are happy and enjoy this system then that's all that matters.

Is it just me or do the new cartridges seem expensive?
