Only played The Revenge of Shinobi / The Super Shinobi to be honest so I will say that as after that I moved on to the Super Nintendo. Though I may try Shinobi III in the future considering how many people seem to love it and have recommend it here.
I don't think anyone would play a rubbish retro game to reconnect and reminisce with their past.
Sometimes I play a superb one (thankfully there are many of these) to do so and sometimes I play a retro game not for the memories the game brings up but because of the pure playability and gameplay and none of the modern stuff that I find annoying such as cutscenes and story.
I think it's clear in the visuals to anyone who has played this game that this is so...superb art style and superb game although I am not very good at it LOL.
Still got my copy and it feels like yesterday. Was not impressed with the first issue, style over substance I thought, but it got better over the years.
@shgamer Yes! Galaxy Invader is the one I had (just googled it) it was very basic but I loved the shape of it and the design. All these games are probably emulated but I am not that familiar with the whole emulation scene.
My parents bought me Astro Wars in the early eighties and I think I got Firefox F7 through friends or second hand (not quite sure).
Also obtained a Space Invaders one which I think was cream coloured but I always wanted the Pac Man machines but was really poor in the eighties. I had many happy times but now just feel sad thinking about the times that are gone.
Played both Mario 3 and Super Mario World how they were meant to be played when they came out in the UK on original hardware and on a CRT. I love them both and when I first played Mario 3 thought at the time obviously it was best platform game of all time...
@Daniel36 I agree with you about the N64 (still have mine) when it comes to games, loved Mario 64, OOT, Goldeneye, Wave race 64, Perfect Dark and 1080 Snowboarding and that's about it really!!
@Daniel36 I watched the YouTube video above and apparently some people do pay crazy money for these controllers which is surprising considering they are not officially licensed products. I personally think they look incredible but each to their own I guess.
Perhaps I should read the news story before commenting LOL. Yes I was right I remember anyway, like all these designs to be honest but could not afford to purchase any at the time. Still think the N64 controller looks aesthetically very pleasing and never thought these would be worth anything one day.
Playing F-Zero GX on a Gamecube hooked up to a CRT television in RGB scart in 60 hz is something else...I had a Panasonic back in the day and it was so silky smooth.
Like some other comments on here, still have some copies in boxes. I used to pour over their Super Famicom coverage every month. While I think the final design of the Famicom is one of the best designed consoles ever, I also love the early mock op of the machine, the one that has all 4 red face buttons on the joypad. Halycon days...
@SonOfDracula Will possibly buy a Switch OLED next year just to play this game, hopefully Nintendo will lower the price of their console by then. £300 is a lot to pay for just one game I want. Metroid Prime is a masterpiece on Gamecube.
Since i never had a pc the last time i used floppies was when i had a Pro Fighter in the early nineties for my American SNES. How am i going to play Super Nintendo games now!?!

I think they advertised in N64 magazine as I remember the ad or my mind is playing tricks with me.

Looking forward to Digital Foundry doing a tech review of this game to see how well it runs and plays.
