Yeah I just don't get the whole thing about emulation, the best way to play games is on original hardware, now I might upgrade the screens on the original hardware or do some other mods, but it's still original hardware. I just don't feel like sending Chinese companies money so I can play games that I can already play perfectly well.
I actually agree with him, although he sounds kind of like an a******. But people do work for free and make fan translations, I'm sorry but those people don't own them, if somebody makes a fan translation and somebody else uses it that's just too bad, they should feel happy that somebody likes their translation enough to put it into a printed copy. I love how the internet is totally fine with stealing things and working with properties that they don't own but then they get all been out of shape when somebody uses something they did essentially for free...
I really dig this... I hope he is successful and I hope it comes to Nintendo switch or Nintendo switch 2 I should say. Dirt is fun at all but in my opinion it strays too far into realistic I think this game could do wonderfully sales-wise if he nails The controls and feeling, I was super surprised how much fun I have had with the new cruis'n USA game on switch.
@JJtheTexan I agree mostly, but... I think the use of original hardware is ok, it's still a nitch industry and console modding will keep original systems plentiful.
And yes 3D printing is yuck unless lots of time is spent finishing the plastic.
@NintendoDad if I remember correctly I have mortal Kombat 2 on the game boy, I think that's the version I had as a kid as well and I had fun with it I was even able to pull off fatalities and stuff.
It's weird, I started on a 2600 but have Zero nostalgia for the system, compared to the NES which I got used probably a year after the 2600 superseded it in every way and the 2600 is now in the dustbin of my memory. I wonder how many folks really have nostalgia for old Atari games?
" as well as the allure of that classic Intellivision branding"
Seriously!?! I'm one of the kids that grew up with an Atari 2600. About 2 or 3 years later I was able to get a NES with some games at a garage sale from a neighbor.
Point is I have wonderful nostalgic feelings and still enjoy playing NES games today. Atari 2600 games I have absolutely zero nostalgic feelings. in my humble opinion it was crap then and it's crap now.
Curious how many of us actually had in televisions and actually are nostalgic for it.
Interesting question. maybe I missed it somewhere but if I buy a Genesis mini edition in the United States and then by the tower of power setup from play Asia will it still fit?

Okay second question is why do you hire a Spanish speaker to translate something from Japanese to English?

Re: New Four-Hour Documentary Delves Deep Into The Creation Of Sega Rally Championship
@mashk Amen! Dirt it's a technical marvel, but not really all that fun to play in my opinion. I really wish Sega would bring back Sega rally.
Re: New Four-Hour Documentary Delves Deep Into The Creation Of Sega Rally Championship
Four hours! Way to long. I need the cliff notes video version. 😅
Re: Random: This Cancelled F1 Game For The Game Boy Advance Looks Unreal
Very neat. But I don't buy the 45k triangles per second line. Unless of course it's magic.

This is so cool. It's amazing what a determined & talented dev can do with limited hardware. He must have a lot of free time on his hands.

So a game boy pirate machine? I don't think so. So much theft. Not cool.
