Looking at the site it shows the 64G model having 4800+ games for $89.99? Does that mean it comes preloaded with games from supported systems? Or that you can load up to 4800 of your own game ROMs?
@bluebonics Yes! That's it. You do have the freewill to emulate, pirate, whatever... but there is the legal side of it. Whether we agree with it being fair or not. There are LOTS of games I played long ago that I wouldn't mind playing again. But for all those who defend emulation saying they are wanting to play Illusion of Gaia, Mother 3, Madden '93... whatever else, they are most likely also using it to play Super Mario World, Link to the Past, Punch-Out, Super Metroid, etc.
I miss the King's Quest games. Had a lot of fun with them in the mid-1980s. All I had at the time was NES. But I had a wealthy friend who had NES, Sega Master System, and a home computer. We spent many weekends playing King's Quest III. Great fun!
Nice! I did not realize Crossed Swords was on eshop?! Also, that Nightmare In The Dark I had never known about until now. Would love to have a chance to play it. Maybe it'll come along sometime.
I'm very intrigued by this. Might be a fun little console to have for local multiplayer a family get-togethers. Hopefully it'll have a steady stream of games for it. I wouldn't even mind some mobile ports to supplement the library. I rarely play games on phone, Mario Run is the only one in the past several years.
@Branovices Me too. I grabbed a 32X from Toys R Us or K-B Toys for $19.99 and also got Doom, Kolibri, Corpse Killer for like $5 each. I got some use out of it alongside the Genesis and Sega CD.
This will be awesome if it turns out. Especially if all the CD games load faster than they originally did. That is the problem with Sega CD, PlayStation 1, TG16 CD games many times is horrid loading times.
Cool article. Though these games are bad (unbelievably so when compared to other Zelda games), he seems to have done decently with what he had to work with and time-table. I have actually seen one of these games in action, must've been the Link one. The animation looks decent, aside from the atrocious depictions of Zelda and Link. The platforming parts look pretty enough but are definitely not very fun.
