@axelhander Oh, I'm positive that some games that I've played have used it. If I know that the devs used AI, I'm going to ask for a refund. Simple as that.
It not only feels soulless and usually looks quite generic, but it also has ethical issues as well unless the model was trained with permission from every single artist whose work was in the training dataset. So in my opinion AI has no place in creative works.
@BionicDodo But that doesn't even make any sense. If you're crowd funding something, then why on earth would you want to make people believe you already have tons of money?
@MegaManFan I have Evercade VS too, and the controller support is decent but far from perfect. I can confirm that 8bitdo arcade stick works on it, and so does wired version of 8bitdo SN30 Pro. But then wired 8bitdo Pro 2 or 8bitdo Ultimate (bluetooth + 2.4Ghz version) do not work on it.
@BowsersBuddy The Alpha uses full sized arcade parts, and the limited edition version even comes with Sanwa parts. So in that sense, all of the buttons and the lever should be good in terms of their size. That said, the buttons may be a bit too close to the lever to be comfortable. But it's an understandable choice to keep the size somewhat reasonable and portable.
@gojiguy To be fair, with all of the Evercade carts taken into account, there's more than 500 games across 60 cartridges. Although most of them are not arcade games, so may not be a good fit for the control scheme.
It does look cool and I do love Evercade, but this seems like a novelty item to me instead of a device that I would use often. I think Evercade VS with a decent arcade stick is the way to go in terms of comfort and convenience.
@TheBigK What's the point of making a (fan) game if you don't want people to know about it and play it? I can almost guarantee that the devs welcome the exposure.
They made games harder because of the rental and second hand market, but I guess they never considered that people would not sell their games if the games were actually fun to play (and replay). I enjoy a challenge, but some retro games certainly went too far with it, ruining an otherwise enjoyable game.
Wait, if the book is not fictional, then aren't they just copying... history? Isn't that the whole point? I can believe them using the book as a source of information, and the author should be compensated for it. But kind of sounds like they're surprised that a movie based on the same events as the book has similarities to it
Those indie carts look great. Don't really care about Home computer heroes, but there's plenty of other carts coming to Evercade this year, so it's all good.
I love my Keychron keyboard, but man, that looks nice. I have only good things to say about 8bitdo controllers, so I'm definitely interested in this one.
@abdias I don't know, by using the search function, there are many, many articles and videos about Retron 5, Analogue and Anbernic too. Not to mention Evercade which is my personal favourite because I don't own that many retro games but I want to support the devs/publishers.
Besides, what does it matter if they like Polymega and share news about it? I'm sure there are some Polymega owners here, and it doesn't hurt anyone if they tell about the recent updates and so on. Seems like it's more interesting than most emulation machines, as it supports and requires physical media.
This is cool but I don't see it being very succesful. The controllers lack physical buttons so I don't see this being a good option for games that require precision. But I'm mostly worried on the support from developers. I hope it doesn't end up like Ouya.
@Octane Not sure if this would be a good way to play Game Boy games, though. The 1-bit screen is very cool in my opinion, but playing 2-bit Game Boy games on it could be awful.
This device is very exciting in my opinion. I'd love to make my own games for it, and thankfully this supports LUA for very nice and convenient development.
@mattmayatt It does have lots of other platforms too. Like SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, and in the upcoming carts Intellivision, Game Boy, Playstation and Arcade games too.
It looks cool, but I'm not sure what it actually is. Is it a budget console or a proper console? Does it only run games designed for it, or does it run Android or something? Are they challenging Playstation, Nintendo or Xbox with this machine?

That's actually a pretty cool device if it has high enough bitrate and has very low latency.

@axelhander Fearmongering or not, I will not support the use of AI for games, movies or other pieces of media.

@Mario500 Gosh darn it, I think Konami USA had access to this article and made it more adult oriented!

Re: Blaze's Evercade VS Console Has Been Delayed Until December
I own the handheld Evercade. Great console, although the screen is kind of bad. Evercade VS will obviously not have this issue.

@NIN10DOXD Well, look at that! I'm almost correct even when I'm just joking!
Re: Coleco Chameleon's Future In Doubt Following Claims That SNES Hardware Was Used In Prototype
Well, at least it has rather good-looking controller. But it probably has a Pro Controller ducktaped inside...
