That was a great chat with Dylan. I never finished Command but I'm going to crack it open again, now. Also, pushing the art direction to something more Star Fleet/X-Bomber would be a great move.
This was sitting in the display cabinet in the reception at Rare for all the years I was there. I never knew the whole story behind it, though so this was an excellent read. Thanks!
My experience was that I didn't even know there was a crash and tbh, had pretty much no clue what was going on outside of the UK market. By '83-'84 I was moving over from the Atari 2600 to the micros (Speccy and C64), anyway, and from what I could see by the mags of the day and trips to the shops things were booming, over here. Even by the time of the ST and Amiga there was still plenty of stuff to get.
Awesome article. I got my Game Boy from Shekhana and SFC from just around the corner at ACE. It was a ridiculously expensive time, paying through the nose for games you might not even be able to play properly but also extremely exciting.

Re: Collector's Edition Of The Atari VCS Is Now Available To Buy
Not that I wouldn't immediately get buyer's remorse from it but I don't think they ship outside of the US (should you be, y'know, outside of the US).
Re: Nostalgia Nerd And Ashens Are Teaming Up To Create The Ultimate Arcade Bar
Y'know, I've always quite fancied living near Norwich. Ever since Sale of the Century used to be on.
