@Barryburton97 I also had a Saturn and a PS1, and enjoyed them both. But let's be realistic, the PS1 wasn't slightly better at 3D - it was MUCH better. If we're comparing late games, then take a look at Quake 2 on PS1. Nothing on Saturn could hope to come close to that quality.
I fell out of love with Edge some time ago. I was a subscriber for a long time time, but as I got older and gaming time became even more limited and precious, I was finding that reading Edge was actually making me quite cynical about video games. I felt like it was turning me against my hobby. Then I realised what I was missing were the old magazines, that weren't so much 'journalism' - but more 'evangelism'. I want to feel excited about videogames.
I knew the hardcore audience preferred the Mega Drive version, but I'd always assumed that was solely down to the layout of the six button control pad.
For me it’s GTA IV. I can appreciate all the criticism it gets, but it just came along at the right time in my life for me to get completely engrossed in it. I also just prefer the tighter Liberty City games compared to the sprawling San Andreas ones.
Revolution was my first hands-on experience with Ridge Racer, so for me it'll always be special. That being said, Rage Racer is an absolute vibe and if I could only keep only one, it'd be that one.
Wonderful game. For me, it falls off a bit in the third act, but the first two are fantastic (same as Monkey Island actually). Never actually got to finish it in the 90s, but eventually did when it was re-released for Vita.
"...Shenmue for the Sega Dreamcast is rightly regarded as one of the best games ever made."
Really? To it's hardcore fanbase maybe. It's certainly one of the most notable given how much it cost to make. I was very much into it at the time and whilst I remember enjoying the game, I'm comfortable admitting that it wasn't particularly great.
Whilst Little Big Planet is certainly a noteworthy game, I certainly don't think it's among the very best on the platform. As others have mentioned; Dishonored surely has to be considered for a spot on the best games list for any platform.

Re: GTA III Programmer Impressed By The Progress Of Its Fan-Made Sega Dreamcast Port
@PopetheRev28
100%
GTA III arguably in the same bracket as Super Mario and Doom when it comes to the influence it had on the industry.
Re: Is It Time To Change The Narrative On The Sega Saturn?
@Lobsterv00 and all it took was 30 years to figure it out.

Re: FIFA Cover Stars - Every Athlete From 1993 To 2022
@mattb2020 My thoughts exactly. He barely merited the front cover of a Man Utd fanzine, let alone FIFA.
