Imagine if the XSX and PS5 couldn't have their OS updated. They have quite a few issues which can easily be fixed with a new firmware nowadays, but back then they would have be screwed and tagged as broken console manufacturers.
@Damo I have used my fair share of emulation in the past, either because games weren't available in europe, or simply because I was broke like most students and I don't feel bad about it, now I buy all the remastered version of games I loved.
I just find it very hypocritical to censor anything on ROMs in the comment as other mentioned when you post articles like this.
@Damo What are we supposed to do with a device dedicated to emulation without any ROM?
Both are very much linked to each other, so unless you also give us a link to a device that lets us extract our own ROMs, you are strongly suggesting we resort to piracy.
I really wonder how big this market is for a premium retro console that require original games to play. The console is so overpriced it costs the same as modern consoles. The best games on each systems are expensive since they are rare. It is not the original console, so it will never give that original feeling

Re: Random: Game Boy WiFi Cartridge Lets You Browse Wikipedia On A Pea-Soup Screen
@Kayvoo You're all set with the switch then. It already has internet access (it just doesn't have a browser).
Re: Random: Game Boy WiFi Cartridge Lets You Browse Wikipedia On A Pea-Soup Screen
@Kayvoo Your phone probably has a browser. So does the device you used to post your comment.
Re: Random: Game Boy WiFi Cartridge Lets You Browse Wikipedia On A Pea-Soup Screen
I'm pretty sure the WiFi chip alone has more computing power than the Gameboy. Impressive work nonetheless.

Re: Sega's Next Micro-Console Could Be The Dreamcast Mini, But Don't Expect It Soon
Never played a Sega console except for the game gear for about 5 minutes. I'd rather just have Skies of Arcadia legend remastered on Switch.

Re: Polymega Beta Units Are Out In The Wild, And Things Are Looking Pretty Impressive
It's weird to think that this overpriced emulator probably took way longer to develop than a modern console.
Re: Gallery: Flicking Through Sega Master System: A Visual Compendium
There is an awful lot of Sega on Nintendo Life. I'm not a Sega fan, but it's nice to give them a home on that loving website
Re: More Tantalising Polymega Details Emerge From GDC 2019
@AlexOlney There's that good ol' Alex
I can even hear your comment as I am reading it.
I didn't doubt the article. It just feels like it has been in development for years (probably ~20) and they have no plan to actually release anything.
Re: More Tantalising Polymega Details Emerge From GDC 2019
Is that thing not out yet? I remember a pretty steep price so it will probably be a commercial failure.
Re: There's A New Intellivision Coming, And A Trio Of Former Nintendo Staffers Are Helping Launch It
@harouhiko My thoughts exactly. They probably wanted to go for "Amiico" but didn't because of Nintendo's lawyers.

Re: Feature: Take A Tour Of The UK's Most Incredible Retro Game Store
What the hell? Game & Watch up to 90£? I know it's a collectible, but no wonder why they are fully stocked. They probably don't sell anything.
